EJ RONIN

I have attended clubs nation wide. From BUZZ in Washington DC during its mid-90's peak years to clubs in Pheonix, L.A., New York, Germany, and Italy.

First as listener, then as an observer, and now I'm a praticipant. While I don't spin at any clubs I have been featured on internet stations such as the late MetroMix Radio, Talk Hard Radio 4 U, as a guest for Ricardo Montero on Anti-FM Radio, Music V2, Gods of Music, and MP3.com. I don't intend on spinning out at a club, I'm happy where I am. Its's not about fame, money or respect - it's about sharing a passion for music; something universal. It's about expressing how you feel and controlling the room on everyones terms. There is no right or wrong - only sound.

What made it so attractive was the fact you could freely be yourself. It wasn't a place of peer pressure becasue you lived by the universal rule of peace, love, unity and respect - PLUR; and we acted that way. It truely was a place of unihibited freedom. It was a movement that shaped who I am and it is time to give back to the scene that has given so much to me.

Now I just focus on the road ahead and whatever life throws in front of me. I want to show what EDM is and what it means beyond a beat

My real name is Shawn. Even though I have a "stage name", I feel that knowing my real name makes me more tangible, rather than some pseudonym that you read but can't match anything with other than sound.

I've been Djing now for close to 7 years and have loved every bit of it. I owe a few people "thanks" for my drive concerning it; namely DJ Alexis J, Jake Ritchie, Speed Demon, Tony Tee, Craig Coleman, Ricardo Montero, Mykel Nahorniak, Arthur Maddalena, Emily (my wife), Kevin Edwards, Ella M and last but not least every single person that has popped onto MySpace and contributed crits and kudos for my sets and read my mindless rants in the blogs. All of these people have played some influance to either my start or continuance of the trade and without them, there would be no real point.

I do this for ME and nobody else, as such it is my style to do things how I want them. I'm not opposed to catering to an audience, but they have to understand that they get what I give them. In turn for this understanding I give them the best I have at that moment every time. Period.

DJ LOTHAR

Powerful, emotional, and effective, a few words some critics have described this young growing talent. At the age of 23, Lothar Birkenfeld (DJ Lothar) has developed to become an exceedingly addictive DJ to listen to the past few years. His strong heart and driving emotional force have been used to create the byproduct of what some people have called ‘mind blowing’ music that have enlightened and altered those who have been on the dance floor during his performances. Having stirred up some commotion, he has slowly made a name for himself in the dance community in all across the country. He has played in New York City venues such as Centro-Fly, Le Souk, Sullivan Room, Climax and held a summer residencey at Martignetti Liqours to name a few. He is slowly making time into the studio working on a few future projects of his own. Currently, you can listen to some of Lothar's latest mixes being broadcasted in all across the country on Radio Stations such as AntiFMRadio.com & Party107.com as well as downloading some of his mixes at the media section.
